Celebrate Independence Day at Whiting’s 98th Annual July 4th Parade
The parade begins at 10 a.m. traveling south down Indianapolis Blvd. to 119th Street, and continuing through Historic Downtown Whiting to Front Street. This year’s parade will feature Famous Marvel™ Super Heroes Captain America™, Iron Man™, Thor™, and Spider-Man™ along with The Angry Birds™. Many other outstanding participants and entertainers will also join to pay tribute to our beloved soldiers and local veterans.
Then, before heading to your cookout, the City has planned a free Character Meet and Greet in Whiting Lakefront Park for families to take photos and interact with the famous super heroes and characters from 1:30 – 3:30 p.m.
